Dental Health Care Workers are dental health professionals who work in close collaboration with and under the supervision of a dentist. They work with patients by performing tasks before and after the dentist’s appointment and assisting the dentist during certain dental procedures. Dental Health Care Workers greatly increase the efficiency of the dentist in the delivery of quality oral health care and are valuable members of any dental care team.

In this course you will get to learn about
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Dental Radiology – Digital OPG and RVG training.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).
- Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
- Take impressions of patients’ teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
- Communicate with patients (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone ).
- Help to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgery.
- Learn to work in NABH approved clinic.
